Feedback for Tissington Hall Christmas Events

Dear Debbie,

Just wanted to express our thanks and appreciation as we all enjoyed our visit to Neverland last Tuesday. The house was beautifully decorated and magical, our guides welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable.

We all enjoyed our lunch at Herbert’s, the soup being very tasty and warming just what we needed on a rainy cold day!

I have had lots of positive feedback from Kirk Langley WI ladies, who thought it was a wonderful experience.

Thank you to you all at Tissington, as the day ran like clockwork.

With very best wishes for Christmas !

Have a Merry Christmas and Happy 2019, Kind regards,

Louise - Kirk Langley WI

Dear Debbie,

Thank you so much for a wonderful evening last week. The brownies (and all the adult too!) really enjoyed our visit last Thursday - it was super. The decorations seem to get better each year and the story teller is really great. Please pass on our thanks to all involved. One brownie said, I am so pleased we get to do this Brown owl - it is the best night ever !

Have a Merry Christmas and Happy 2019, Kind regards,

Vikki ( on behalf of 1st Eyam Brownies)

Dear Debbie,

Our visit today went perfectly, we all thoroughly enjoyed it. The decorations in the Hall just improve every year. The entrance hall was enchanting and going through the window to see the London night skyline was inspired. Sir Richard greeting us during our visit made it very special. Our lunch was well presented and very tasty, the turkey was especially commented on. Please convey our thanks to everyone concerned.

I'm sure that we will want to come again. Please can we provisionally book the last Monday in November again, which will be 25th November? Perfect to start our Christmas celebrations, a month to go.

Helen

Dear Debbie,

We all just want to say how much we enjoyed our visit to the Hall on Thursday. We thought the hall looked wonderful and our guides Irene and Clark were so knowledgable on Peter Pan and all our questions about Tissington Hall. Our visit was concluded with a wonderful lunch at Herbert’s.

Also it was a pleasure to meet and chat with Sir Richard.

Dear Debbie,

What a wonderful time we had at the hall and tea rooms. We were made to feel so welcome, the displays were lovely and our guides especially good.

Thanks again, I am sure we will be back next year.

Hello,

My mum and I visited Tissington Hall yesterday as part of the Ockbrook and Borrowash WI party.

We just wanted to say a big thank you, everything was very well organised from our meal at the Village Hall through to the guided tour of the Neverland rooms in the Hall itself.

The display of the rooms was magical, and so well put together. Much better than both Chatsworth and Haddon Hall which we have visited in past.

Please thank everyone for their kindness and hard work as it was much appreciated.

Dear All,

Huge congratulations on a most magnificent story telling display. We were completely transported back to our childhood with all the very clever and detailed scenery.

A special mention to David (who we met later in the sweet shop) what a wonderful and imaginative idea.

Finally, we do believe in fairies.

Congrats and well done

Dear Debbie,
hello and thank you very much for all your help in making Friday such an enjoyable visit for our members and their guests.

Your colleagues in the tearoom were super and the cakes were delicious.

We appreciated Sir Richard giving an introduction when we entered the hall and the guides were very knowledgeable and the hall's Beauty and the Beast decorations were amazing.

Thank you once again

With best wishes
Debbie

Just writing to say what a super time we had at Tissington on Wednesday. Everything worked very well and the hall was decorated beautifully. Sir Richard set the scene and our guides made it all come to life. You are all to be congratulated. We had a lovely meal in the tea room and they were able to provide us with hot food as well as sandwiches and cakes. Everyone enjoyed themselves and would like to come again! Thanks once again for all your help.

Best wishes

A Really Enjoyable Evening !!

A slightly belated Thankyou  for a really enjoyable evening. We were most impressed with all the care taken with the rooms, including sound effects, it was beautifully done and I do hope that you had plenty of weekend visitors to appreciate it. The story readings by the fireside were perfect, well worth the wet and windy hours drive from Sheffield. I hope that you will repeat it next year,

Diana Fothergill - December 2015

David and I want to thank you and Fiona for a splendid evening last night. One of the most enjoyable events we've attended in a long time. You all worked very hard and we appreciated it very much

"Would just like to thank you for your kind assistance with our recent visit to Tissington Hall. All the family thoroughly enjoyed the tour through the hall, the themed setting of Beauty and The Beast was incredible, our granddaughter at nearly three had watched the dvd several times and recognised many of the main characters, such as Mrs Potts and Chip, Cogsworth and Lumiere. Our three grandsons were more interested in searching for chip in every room! The older members of our group were amazed at the amount of work, as in the decorated table, undertaken into making our tour such a lovely experience. Please would you pass on our thanks to the Lord of the Manor for allowing us to visit such a beautiful home dressed in the theme of Beauty and The Beast

Julie & Family

"Tissington village is really lovely. It's got a village pond with crazy wandering ducks, a olde worlde sweet & antique shop & a superb butchers amongst others. The Hall is beautiful & you can potter around the village, visit the Hall or go on the Tissington trail. Well worth a visit if you are in the Buxton area."

“Christmas "What the Dickens"

It's their first Christmas opening and our party of 16 were delighted. Each room was dressed to perfection with a Dickensian theme. We were met by Lord & Lady Fitzherbert and had a guided tour of the hall. Our welcome was as warm as the cracking log fires. The prebooked lunch was well served and good value, the church and village are lovely and this trip set the scene for Christmas.

May I convey thanks on behalf of myself, my wife and friends during our visit today to the Dickens event at the Hall. We found ourselves entering a large historical house, and eventually leaving a home of warmth and friendliness conveyed by all at Tissington Hall. Would you on our behalf express our thanks to Sir Richard and Lady FitzHerbert for an excellent experience within their home, and the tea rooms.
