Tissington were incredible from start to finish. The whole team would go above and beyond with every ask. Cat was just amazing, no ask was too big. They made our dream day come true! They paid attention to every single detail and made us feel as though we were their only wedding all year (despite being one of at least 60!) We get to go back for a friends wedding in September and can’t wait to see both the venue and the wonderful people.

From the moment we viewed Tissington Hall with Lady Fiona we knew it was the one. There was just something about this venue where it didn't seem as if we were "just another wedding". The whole process was just incredible and they really did help bring our vision to life. Cat and Gabby were absolutely amazing, I think Gabby was even sewing some trousers for us at one point! We simply cannot thank them enough. They couldn't have done enough for us, it was as if they were our friends on the day rather than co-ordinators. We couldn't have wished for anything more (other than wishing we could do it all again), the most perfect venue.

Stunningly beautiful place to be
A wedding at the end of November could be fraught with issues relating mainly to the weather. However, Tissington Hall, the ancestral home of the 9th Baronet, Sir Richard Fitzherbert, in late autumn is a stunningly beautiful place to be. We were very lucky with the aforementioned weather but it was the quality of the venue, its perfect setting, intimate atmosphere and the ease with which our day progressed, made so by the excellent organisation provided by Lady Fiona and her main lady Cat which makes this a wonderful wedding venue.
From first until last, their attention to detail, much of which would have passed us by, made the day that much more special for us and enjoyable for our guests. Andrea was treated like royalty from the moment she arrived and the time before the wedding was a special time for her. Again, manager Cat was on hand throughout with many a calming word when required. We held our marriage ceremony in the Hall itself. It's a magnificent room, oak panelled with just the largest fireplace giving out welcome seasonal warmth for all. Being fortunate to be able to have outdoor photos, Tissington Hall provides literally a picture perfect backdrop and we were so happy with the photography provided by Charlotte Heather-Cray.
We shared our day with seventy family and friends and this is about the limit for a marriage ceremony in the Hall itself and wedding breakfast held in the Carriage House. We feel very fortunate that we were able to enjoy such a great day and would recommend Tissington Hall to anyone as a fabulous wedding venue.

If you want your special day to be the best day, at the most beautiful venue, you will not regret using Tissington Hall. Cat and the team worked exceptionally hard to make sure our day was absolutely perfect.
Their attentiveness went above and beyond what we could have asked for, and ensured it went seamlessly and without stress or worry.

An Amazing Autumn Wedding
My partner and I are were married at Tissington Hall in November 2022 and we would love to thank the owners and team for their help from start to finish in making our wedding day so magical. Tissington Hall itself is a beautiful venue situated in a picturesque Derbyshire Village; we fell in love with the area on our first visit and never looked back. Lady FitzHerbert, the owner, is such a delight and was very attentive and accommodating for us throughout. The venue provides excellently decorated rooms for both the Groom's and Bridal parties (as a same sex couple we utilised the Bridal room as a communal area for our female guests to prepare) within the Carriage House. Our ceremony took place within the old drawing room, creating a wonderful backdrop for our photos; the roaring open fires were also a magical touch.
The grounds of Tissington Hall are stunning and the landscape looks amazing in our official wedding photographs. We were able to use the downstairs of the hall, outside areas and library during our drinks ceremony which was an added bonus. Our wedding breakfast and evening were held within the lovely Carriage House - this helps provide an intimate atmosphere but without ever feeling too small for our 54 guests. The separate entry area was a great place for our 2-piece live band and dance floor. Thank you to all involved at Tissington for helping us create such a special day. We will definitely be back! Perfect Venue
Tissington Hall was the most perfect venue for our wedding. The setting, hall and gardens are beautiful and perfect for the photographs. The team at Tissington couldn’t do enough for us, anything we asked of them wasn’t a problem.
We had the best day of our lives and can’t thank Tissington enough for everything they did. We would highly recommend anyone getting married at this picturesque location.

Myself and Sophie just wanted to reach out and let you know how grateful we are for all your support.
You have been absolutely incredible both in the build up to our special day including our meeting to plan everything and especially on the day itself. We simply could not have done it without you. From looking after Bruno and Millie, to running around making sure everyone was in the right place at the right time without ever making us feel rushed or even aware of all the ‘behind the scenes’ stuff that I’m sure took so much coordination.
It didn’t feel like we had a ‘wedding planner’ with us but instead felt like we had a great friend helping us through our day and you were one of us!

Gorgeous, peaceful, welcoming, great party hosts, location, picturesque, Amazing!
We started our searches in 2020 where we were lucky enough to be showed around the Hall & Gardens from Lady Fiona. Talk about a loving and kind host! We immediately said Yes and booked our wedding here. We couldn’t have dreamed of such a brilliant location.
With regular check ins and confirmation emails of our plans, we were so organised it took a huge stress away. On the day itself Rebecca was our Coordinator and she was exceptional. On hand and feet she couldn’t do enough. If it was to get us a drink, hold a bouquet, get a door, hold our 2 year old Bradley, check on the other guests, everything in a nutshell!
We then moved round to have our meal and party in the Marque.
The surroundings are perfect for anybody’s special day. We will 100% be coming back on more than one occasion.

Beautiful Venue
As soon as we viewed Tissington we knew it was the venue for us, it is a stunning location and the most special of places.
Sir Richard, Lady Fiona, Cat and Gabby were brilliant right from the moment we booked all the way up to our big day, nothing was ever too much trouble. On the actual day, they worked hard in the background to make sure everything ran smoothly, we have had so many compliments on how attentive and friendly all the staff were. It really was our dream wedding day and it’s all thanks to everyone at Tissington.
Not only are you getting the beautiful venue itself (you are spoilt for choice for your photos), but all the wonderful people who come with it. I cannot say enough about how fantastic this wedding venue is, get it booked, you will not be disappointed! I wish we could do our day all over again!!

Absolutely Phenomenal!
We both got ready at the Carriage House before marring at St Mary's Church, with our reception in Tissington Hall, and evening celebrations in the Carriage House.
Tissington Weddings have been absolutely phenomenal from start to finish - and even after! We were lucky enough to have Lady Fiona show us around over a year and a half before our wedding and communication was superb throughout. We were amazed at how much of the Hall and grounds us and our guests would have access to and the price of the venue is such great value for money! We had looked around many other venues which were much dearer and less accommodating. Tissington Weddings not only ran with, but loved our ideas and nothing was ever too much trouble; welcoming the idea of us having a cocktail hour, insisting on our much loved Cocker Spaniel attend the reception, and ensuring bubbles and a moment together was available in those needed times, to name a few. Our Wedding Coordinator, Cat we cannot speak highly enough of! From the moment we met we knew we were in safe hands and yet she still exceeded our expectations, she was with us the whole day orchestrating each sequence of events subtly in the background, and always with a smile and helping hand. We must also thank the wider Tissington Team, Pippa and Ryan in particular who ensured all our guests were well cared for, had enthusiasm throughout, and gave us a laugh or two when they got involved in the photo booth! And if this wasn't all perfect enough, Sir Richard was kind enough to speak with us and our guests ensuring everyone had everything they needed. We have been so touched at how everyone at Tissington Hall has had a genuine interest and passion for ensuring we had the most spectacular day, exactly what we had envisioned, and hoped for.
We are so pleased that Tissington is not a 'wedding factory', you are warmly welcomed, listened to, and given amazing care and attention, we feel so to lucky to be one of their 2022 wedding

Simply Magical
After planning our wedding for the summer of 2020 and after the unfortunate events of COVID we were left without a venue or date after the collapse of our previous wedding venue. Upon the recommendation of our wedding photographer, we were then introduced to Lady Fiona Fitzherbert who was beyond amazing. Before we knew it, we had a date pencilled in for 2021, a meeting scheduled for when we could visit after the first initial lockdown and when we finally got to visit the venue, we just fell in love instantly and knew this was meant to be.
Both Lady Fiona and Sir Richard Fitzherbert were brilliant in their communication, both with multiple phone calls or Facetime tours of the venue and we were always made to feel very special and looked after, which after our disappointed with our previous venue was extremely reassuring. The venue itself and surrounding village is simply magical, from the stunning grounds and beautiful architecture. We decided to opt to get married at St Mary’s church in Tissington which is only a short walk opposite the venue, which was lovely on the day of the wedding as we got some lovely photos of the procession walking from church to venue and was hassle free in terms of guest transport.
The reverend of St Mary’s is Reverend Carolyn McDonald who like Lady Fiona was amazing from day 1 of meeting her on the church zooms to meeting in person and made the whole experience and planning so simple. With lockdown ending and restrictions lifting, we were introduced to Caroline who would be supporting Lady Fiona as our wedding co-ordinator. I think everyone needs a Caroline in their life, she is a burst of energy and joy and made the run up to the big day seamless. As for our wedding day, it was simply magical from start to finish and the memories will live with us forever. Tissington Hall, church and village will now hold a very special place in our hearts and we feel extremely lucky that we were able to have our wedding here. We are extremely grateful to Lady Fiona, Sir Richard, Reverend Carolyn McDonald, Caroline and Upper Crust Catering for helping us organise and cater such an amazing day.
It was such an honour to be married on these beautiful grounds, thank you again Lady Fiona and Sir Richard for inviting us to use your wonderful home for our special day.

Perfect venue!
We got married at Tissington Hall this July and I can’t recommend it enough. The venue is beautiful, from the carriage house where we got ready, to the beautiful rose gardens where we had our drink’s reception and the Marquee for the wedding breakfast and evening. Every setting was perfect. We got married at the church in the village, which was also beautiful and right across the road from the hall. Having everything in one location made everything even easier for us on the day!
The whole team at Tissington were amazing and so helpful the entire way through, answering any questions we had and making sure the day ran smoothly. We didn’t have to worry about a thing and could just enjoy the day. We also worked with a lot of their recommended supplier who were also great.
