A wonderful hall tour enjoyed by all
Just wanted to say a big thank you to yourself and Sir Richard for the wonderful Hall Tour which we very much enjoyed last week (23rd July).
I so much appreciated your flexibility given Dad's eye problems and that you enabled us to cancel and rebook the tour within the same few days. Your help and understanding were invaluable, especially as this was a difficult and worrying time for Dad and the rest of the family. You were so kind and also very prompt and efficient in all your communications with me which was very helpful. So in all respects, THANK YOU!
Please also pass on my gratitude to Sir Richard. The Tour was fascinating and very enjoyable. Sir Richard was very interesting, pointing out key features and people of historical importance associated with the Hall and was also very amusing with many humorous recollections and anecdotes to share. It can't always be easy to have members of the public tramp across your home and gardens so the opportunity to do so was wonderful and I guess it all helps to pay the bills! A special thank you for the care and consideration Sir Richard showed to my Mum whose mobility is not so good these days and she uses a stick to get around. He was so good by ensuring that she went first to tackle the stairs and he was on hand to help her along the way - very thoughtful and considerate of him
And a final mention for the catering...the refreshments were wonderful and very generously proportioned, so thank you for these too. We needed to have a walk around the village before we could accommodate our lunch in Herberts Tea Room!
