Tours

Group tours are available to organised societies and groups throughout the year. In addition to the published 28 days, these tours are taken by local professional guides who outline the history and politics of the house over the last 500 years.

Times can be arranged by mutual agreement and can be organised from 10:00am to 19.30pm in the evening. The minimum requirement is for 15 people but larger numbers are most welcome.

Thank you so much for all the arrangements you made for our Oxford Society visit to Tissington yesterday. The day was a great success and was very much enjoyed by our members. The welcome coffee, the guided tour with very entertaining guides and the lovely lunch in very comfortable surroundings were just what we wanted, and, of course, we were blessed with fine weather. It was a shame not to meet you personally, but your staff were superb and looked after us very kindly and professionally. I did manage a quick word with Sir Richard as he was clearing tables in the dining-room!

Roz (my wife) and I hope to return some time later to enjoy the place again.

I hope the rest of the season runs well for you and please pass on our thanks to all those who helped us enjoy a really fun day.

On behalf of everyone, I would just like to say 'Thank you' to you and the guides for making us feel welcomed. Everything ran so smoothly and it was obvious that the guides love the house and its history. The information from Sir Richard was also appreciated; we were delighted he was able to give us some of his time, especially with all the problems he had encountered that morning.

Tissington Hall is a beautiful house and here's hoping that you are able to be fully up and running in the not too distant future.

A special 'Thank you' from my wife for bringing the dogs for her to see.
