Seeking a weekend escape from the city with friends or a family-friendly countryside retreat? The recently converted High Flatts Barn may well be the luxurious Peak District holiday home you’ve been searching for.
Set in a secluded spot overlooking the Tissington Trail cycle path, the barn offers dramatic views towards Carsington Water. And yet, despite the peace and tranquillity of its location, it’s just a five-minute walk from the centre of the historic village, with its charming tearoom, butcher and plant nursery.
and discover a stunning, open-plan interior that’s flooded with plenty of natural light thanks to panoramic windows, soaring ceilings and a spectacular conservatory with a sofa that provides a front-row seat to those jaw-dropping Peak District panoramas and a dining table where you can plot the following day’s escapades.
the kitchen is equipped with everything you might need for a self-catered stay, while the wood burner makes for atmospheric evenings after a day spent exploring the Derbyshire Dales with your four-legged friends.
Finally, retire to either of the barn’s individually decorated bedrooms. Both offer generous storage so you can fully unpack and settle in. One king-size room has an ensuite shower room, while the second bedroom can be set up in a king-size double or twin configuration for maximum flexibility.
with sustainability in mind, not only is High Flatts Barn insulated for warmth over the winter months, but it also comes equipped with solar panels and an air-source heat pump that drives the underfloor heating.
And for those travelling by electric vehicle, range anxiety is eliminated thanks to the EV charger (available on request), while there’s ample bike storage for those planning to discover the dales by pedal power.

What joy it !
I'm about to leave Tissington, somewhat reluctantly I have to admit. High Flatts has been a haven for the past six months.. What joy it has been to sit in the conservatory, watching the evening light pass over the hills.

FABULOUS!!!!
A wonderful 5 day break in this lovely converted old barn to high standards and especially loved the interior design.
Beautiful views and the weather for our visit meant we often sat outside to enjoy a glass or two of champagne.
Lottie our Labrador also thought it a fine place.
